Bio

Steve grew up playing soccer in Southern California for several local clubs and high schools. Steve played college soccer at Bakersfield college, Fresno Pacific University and finished his final year at Judson University in the suburbs of Chicago, winning a NCCAA National Championship.

Steve has coached at all the levels of soccer in the US. Coaching high school teams over 6 years at schools in Bakersfield, California, Elgin Illinois, and Fort Worth, Texas. He has coached club soccer for over 15 years, winning 5 state championships, one regional championship and a National runner up, including starting and owning his own club the Huskies Soccer Academy.

Steve had the privilege of coaching professional soccer in 1998 for the Texas Toros in the USISL and was a scout for the MLS Dallas Burn from 1998-2000. In the summer of 2019 Steve was the head coach of an NPSL team Katy 1895.

In 2017 he resigned from coaching 22 years in the college game at schools such as Judson University, Northwood University, Texas Wesleyan University and finishing his last 11 years at Houston Baptist University. Through his time in the college game he’s had several All-Conference, All-Regional, and All-American players in his programs both on the mens as well as the womens side. Steve has had several male players go on to play professional soccer in countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Puerto Rico and the USA at the USL and MLS levels.
