Peder Mockler was born and raised in Upstate New York. Graduated from NewLebanon H.S.

Got involved in soccer at the age of ten. Peder made the Varsity Track team in 8th grade running three events.

the 2 mile, the 1 mile and 800 meters. It was being around the older kids and being around their practices that he was able to excel at soccer. Peder went to Hill College and UNT where he continued to play soccer. He joined the US Army in 1999 , did basic training at Fort Benning {home of the infantry}, Combat Medic School in Fort Sam Houston.

From there he completed nursing school in Fort Bliss. With his National Certification as an EMT-I and his nursing license

Peder began to work in ERs, and began teaching Combat Lifesaver courses when he was deployed due to 9/11. Peder deployed three times as a Combat Medic /Nurse and field medic instructor. Peder came home and was medically retired, but still had passion for soccer. He started coaching his daughter Madison {captain of the 00G Spurs team} and soon after coached his son Seth {04/05B Spurs team}.

Peder has played, coached, officiated, played again and coached again and brings 30+ years of experience to the Texas Spurs. His hobbies are Obstacle Course Races, helping out his community as a volunteer,cooking for his family, and of course being involved in soccer.
